I rebuilt this site around the blog. The bento homepage gave way to a flatter industrial layout: hairline borders, sharp corners, mono labels and one yellow accent. The introduction became smaller, with the writing list doing more of the work.1
I changed the title to Builder and removed the activity and presence widgets. The experience timeline no longer needed to compete with the posts on the home page either. Eighteen dead components came out in the same pass.
Keep the old versions somewhere
I added an archive for the 2020 Jekyll site, the first Next.js cut and the bento version. They are separate saved builds served under /archive, rather than old layouts reconstructed inside the current component tree.

A blog-row detail in the archived bento-era site. Relative dates reflect this later screenshot, not the redesign day.
That kept the earlier work viewable without making the new site carry all three designs. I also added robots rules for the archived copies.
The redesign included lint-tooling repair as well: the old next lint path no longer fitted Next 16. The changed files were checked, while existing errors in untouched UI files remained separate work.
